Filled with shamrocks and little leprechauns, St. Patrick's Day read alouds are sure to capture your students' imaginations. While we love to share read alouds the usual way, it's also fun to watch the stories read online together sometimes! Here are some of the online read alouds that my students enjoy on St. Patrick's Day.
St. Patrick's Day Read Aloud #1
"That's What Leprechauns Do" by Eve Bunting
This story has three of the most mischievous leprechauns! They go on quite an adventure, making all kinds of mischief and spreading luck on St. Patrick's Day.
St. Patrick's Day Read Aloud #2
"Green Shamrocks" by Eve Bunting
Poor little Rabbit tries to grow shamrocks for St. Patrick's Day, but eat day she discovers that they are mysteriously disappearing each night! What's going on here? My students couldn't wait to find out!
St. Patrick's Day Read Aloud #3
"There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Clover!" by Lucille Colandro
This classic rhyme series gets funnier with each holiday. There are always lots of giggles when the old lady swallows things, and this time it's a series of St. Patrick's Day items! It's so silly you have to love it!
These engaging St. Patrick's Day online read alouds are perfect for bringing a touch of Irish luck into your classroom. Please note that these are not my own videos, and may not always be available in the future. I hope you enjoy them!
