It's important to find really engaging read alouds that students love. I have more than I could list! I also have a lot of online versions bookmarked so that my students can hear other people reading to them for a change! Here are some of my own students' favorite stories they can listen to online at school or at home for when we are learning about Winter.
WINTER READ ALOUD #1
"Bear Snores On" by Karma Wilson
My students love all the stories in this series! In this one, Bear and his forest friends have to find from the cold in Bear's cozy cave. Bear just keeps snoring no matter what happens!
WINTER READ ALOUD #2
"The Biggest Snowman Ever" by Steven Kroll
Clayton and Desmond are the two friends in this read aloud story who work together to build the biggest snowman ever in this heartwarming tale of friendship. This is a good one to read if you plan to take your students out to build their own snowmen later in the day.
WINTER READ ALOUD #3
"The Snow Globe Family" by Jane O'Connor
My students love to imagine being tiny enough to fit into a snow globe! This Snow Globe Family has a fun, snowy adventure in their own snow globe home.
There are so many wonderful stories available online! NOTE: These are all available to listen to and watch online at the time of writing, however they are not my videos so I can't guarantee they will always be here for us.
